Small Groups

Celebration of Discipline:

Join us as we “explore the 'classic disciplines' of Christian faith: the inward disciplines of meditation, prayer, fasting, and study; the outward disciplines of simplicity, solitude, submission and service and the corporate disciplines of confession, worship, guidance and celebration.”

Sundays at 11:00a at Three Kings Public House

Lunchtime Card Club:

Euchre, pinochle, canasta, bridge, and beyond! Pack a sack lunch and join us for prayer, devotions, and friendly competition.

Mondays at 12:00p in the Coffee Lounge

“Hungry? Eat and be satisfied!”:

Retired Pastor Bretscher will be leading a short Bible class on Jesus' FEEDING OF THE 5,000 - the only miracle recorded in all 4 Gospels. Why is that? What does this mean - 2,000 years ago; today for you and me? Come, hear, believe and be filled - today and forever!

Mondays at 1p in the Rooted Youth Center

Crafting Christmas Cards:

Do you enjoy making personalized Christmas cards? Would you like to learn how? Join us as we handmake faith-centered greeting cards to send out to family and friends this Christmas. It really is just around the corner!

Tuesdays at 10:00a in the Coffee Lounge

God’s Gift of Art:

God did not make our world in black and white. For our pleasure he provided color, light and form. Join us as we complete seven different projects that all have connections to our Christian faith and the Bible. We will use watercolor, but if someone wants to do a different medium, that’s okay too!

Wednesdays at 9a in the Rooted Youth Center (Limit: 8)

Lectionary Lingo:

The Lectionary shapes our weekly worship, is shared by Christians around the world and is great way to engage scripture. Join the Thursday night small group (aka. The Dog’s) as we review the weekly Lectionary readings in preparation for Sunday. We will read the week’s assigned texts, use a set of questions for reflection and join in a ‘book club’ discussion. We will also review additional Lectionary resources, some of the same tools used by our pastors, to enrich our devotional journey.

Thursdays at 7:00p in the Coffee Lounge

College/Young Adult Hangout:

Join Seminarian Sam for a time of fellowship, food, and fun. This group will decide what they will study, or what activity they will do, at their first meeting.

Thursdays at 7:00p in the Rooted Youth Center

Basketball:

Lace up your sneakers! We’ll shoot some hoops, pray together, and chat about some books all about basketball. Wondering “How Basketball Can Save the World?” Come find out!

Thursdays at 7:00p in the Gym

Women’s Book Study:

Join us as we study Be Thou My Guide. This book “encourages us to draw close to the Lord with trusting hearts and minds and not to rely on ourselves or choose the ways of the world. Join this study to be encouraged, to develop diligence to live as a child of God, and to practice intentional Christian living.”

Saturdays at 9:30a in the Coffee Lounge

Toddler Teatime:

A time for parents with preschool-age kids to be together! We will do bite-size devotions and have some open playtime for the kids.
