Interested in becoming a Member or knowing more about the Lutheran Church?

We would like to have you become a part of our congregation so that together we might grow in our faith and service to our Lord Jesus Christ.  Committing yourself to active membership can give you strength, joy, hope, and comfort.  As an active member, you will be provided opportunities to serve your Lord Jesus Christ and to grow in His grace.  You will have opportunities to join other Christians in expressing and sharing God's Good News that offers forgiveness of sins, life, and heaven through Jesus Christ.

WHEN AND HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

First, attend worship regularly - it's free and requires no commitment on your part.  Just come, join in praising our Lord, meet people, and become involved.  When ready to make a commitment to participate in our ministry, indicate on the attendance slip your interest in becoming a member, or call the church office to let us know.  Someone will contact you about the New Member Class.

WHAT IF I AM TRANSFERRING MEMBERSHIP FROM ANOTHER LUTHERAN CONGREGATION?

Before you ask for a transfer, plan to attend our orientation sessions. You will get acquainted with Resurrection's ministry and how our members participate in it. This will give you the opportunity to focus on your own commitment as a member. Then we can talk about a transfer.

WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER BEEN A LUTHERAN BEFORE?

Take part in our New Member Class and review the Biblical teachings and practices we hold to be true. After learning about the Lutheran faith, you can make an informed decision about becoming a member of Resurrection.

A session is currently being planned - contact the church office to attend

843-6633 or contact

Pastor Gruenwald by email or

phone 843.6633 ext. 104.

What We Believe

WHY ATTEND NEW MEMBER CLASS BEFORE BECOMING A MEMBER?

We want prospective members to understand to what they are committing.  Membership is not about joining a congregation as much as it is about finding a church home where you can grow spiritually and take part in a ministry where you can serve your Lord and King, Jesus Christ.

A SPECIAL NOTE FOR THOSE INTENDING TO SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO GREEN PARK LUTHERAN SCHOOL OR

LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL SOUTH:

Endorsement meetings in march each year

Our congregation has a policy regarding tuition subsidy and financial aid.

It involves a waiting period and fulfilling the Membership Covenant.

Please contact the church office about whom to contact to get all the information you need,

and answers to any questions you may have about it.
