The mission of Feed My People is to show God’s love and compassion to all His people, but particularly to His people in need. Resurrection has a very special connection with Feed My People. This important ministry was founded in 1982 by our own members, John and Carol DeGuire. It all started with one bag of groceries and a desire to help those who suffer from hunger. From its beginnings, out of the small house of its founders, Feed My People has grown into an organization that has two locations and serves people in 11 zip codes. Between the two locations in South County and High Ridge, more than 1,700 people are served every week!

HOW WE CAN SUPPORT FEED MY PEOPLE

Volunteering: Feed My People can match your skills, passion, and schedule with a rewarding position at one of their locations. There are a great many positions available for people of all interests and ages, including children.

Donating food or personal care items: Food and personal care items can be placed in our collection bin located in the Narthex or dropped off at either Feed My People location.

All shelf stable food items are welcome. Some suggested food items include but are not limited to: Canned meats & tuna, soups, pasta & pasta sauce, meals in a can such as stews, peanut butter, jam\jelly, mac & cheese, canned fruits, and powdered milk.

Suggested personal care items include toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, bar soap, and diapers (Size 2 – 6; sizes 5 & 6 are in high demand).

Pet food is also accepted for the furry family members.

Donating clothing or items for the thrift shops: These items can be dropped off at either Feed My People location Monday - Saturday. Donated items are sold in the thrift stores, and the proceeds support client services.

Donate funds: Monetary donations can be made via directed offerings through the church or by donating to Feed My People through the mail or on the Feed My People web site. Every dollar donated count towards serving our neighbors in need. Funds can be donated for general use or designated for a specific service or program.

Attend a Feed My People Event: Groups or individuals can have an enjoyable time and support important work by participating in the Manna March, the Chef’s Challenge, and the annual golf tournament. Sponsors are always welcome. Watch for announcements for these fun events.
